What makes Moore Brothers Wine Company stand out from the rest is their personal connection to all the winemakers. Instead of buying from a large number of producers, they buy deeply into the portfolios of a select few. Many of the producers they represent are considered among the finest in the world. They often host free tastings with the winemakers when they are in town, so you have the opportunity to make the personal connection yourself. This shop is so dedicated to preserving the quality of their wines that they keep the shop at a chilly 56 degrees. Make sure to grab one of your warm jackets at the door before you start shopping.

2019 marks 85 years for Sherry-Lehmann as it has been helping people quench their thirst since 1934. The secret is its seemingly bottomless warehouse in Brooklyn. That, and the store’s fun-to-peruse catalog, which they’ve been producing since 1935. It’s a trip to stroll through the showroom of one of the city’s oldest and most recognized merchants and see the floor-to-ceiling stock of blue-chip bottles that would invariably get popped in a film about college kids hosting an ill-advised house party at someone’s father’s Central Park West duplex.

Their knowledgeable and well-trained staff is always at your service if you can’t figure out which wine you are looking for. Their approach is unique and fun.
