Led by winemaker Maya Hood-White, our team oversees 55 acres under vine with a commitment to finding the best vineyard sites for specific grape varieties, which can be seen throughout every wine we make. Quaker Run Vineyard is a great example that brings this vision to life. The steep, rocky slopes of the eastern Blue Ridge is central to the power and impact of award-winning wines RISE and Eluvium, and single-varietal beauties such as Quaker Run Chardonnay, Quaker Run Tannat and Quaker Run Cabernet Franc. one of Virginia’s premier higher elevation mountain sites, years of research have shown that Petit Manseng, found in our Intention and single-varietal Petit Manseng expressions, flourishes in specific blocks planted on the rolling green hills of Early Mountain’s clay-dominated vineyard sites.
