Lyrarakis Wines

Lyrarakis is an almost 60 year old, family run estate on the island of Crete focusing primarily on varieties native only to Crete.  We are responsible for rescuing three grape varieties from near extinction and farm under the regenerative agriculture umbrella.  We work with farmers all over the island in addition to our own vineyards not just to maintain sustainability in the vineyards but to help keep farmers working and maintain economic sustainability across the island.  We have vineyards as high as 900 meters and vines as old as 250 years and work to replant native varieties across the island.
