Paradise Springs Winery is the first bi-coastal winery in the United States and was first found in the quaint town of Clifton, Virginia on a historic 36 acre property just outside of Washington DC by Kirk Wiles and Jane Kincheloe in 2005. The land was granted to the Kincheloe family in 1716 and features a log cabin built in the early 1800's and renovated by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. Today, the original winery produces 10,000 cases of Virginia wine annually featuring varietals such as Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Viognier, and more. In 2014, Paradise Springs opened a second winery location in Santa Barbara, California focusing on high quality, small production wines from the Sta. Rita Hills and Happy Canyon AVAs and working with renowned winemaker and consultant Doug Margerum. The upscale modern tasting room is located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara's The Funk Zone just two blocks away from the ocean. Today, Paradise Springs Santa Barbara produces 3,500 cases annually featuring varietals such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Bordeaux-stye varieties. Minimal intervention wines combined with showcasing varieties that express their local terrior from each vineyard site defines the winemaking philosophy of Paradise Springs on each coast.
