With a career rooted in elevating fine-dining experiences through education, passion, and guest engagement, Tiffany Tobey has been shaping the wine scene in Dallas since 2015. As a Sommelier and Wine Director, she has built a reputation for crafting thoughtful, balanced wine programs while guiding guests and teams through memorable wine journeys. Her dedication to hospitality—and her commitment to knowledge-driven service—has made her a respected voice in the industry.
Growing up in a small town, access to fine wine education was limited. Once Tiffany discovered the beauty and complexity of wine, there was no looking back. “Once I was exposed to the beauty of wine, there was nothing that could keep me from learning more. Education and creating magical dining experiences are my passions.”

Alto Adige, Italy — a region Tiffany sees as a leader in freshness, precision, and food-friendly acidity.
Tucked in the dramatic foothills of the Dolomites, Alto Adige continues to gain momentum as one of Italy’s most exciting cool-climate wine regions. Known for its pure fruit expression, laser-focused acidity, and mountain freshness, the region produces wines that are as precise as they are elegant. From bright and mineral-driven whites like Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer, and Kerner to finely textured reds such as Schiava and Lagrein, Alto Adige offers versatility that shines effortlessly on modern restaurant wine lists.
For sommeliers like Tiffany Tobey, its food-friendly structure and impeccable balance make it a standout region poised for even greater recognition in 2026 and beyond.

Tiffany is showing her own label
For Tiffany, it’s all about harmony and value:
“Value for the region, freshness of the juice, and parable acid with the cuisine.”
Balance, regional integrity, and food pairing potential are key.
The return of human-centered dining: “Excited to go back to regular menus and no more QR codes. Excited to see Chefs teaming up with Sommeliers, which suffered during COVID.” Collaboration and real hospitality are back in focus.
“Everyone's palate is different – if you believe in your product, then submit it! The blind format of this competition really allows on-premise buyers to be exposed to wines they may otherwise never see.”

Tiffany highlights the competition’s true restaurant-focused relevance:
“On-premises is very different than off-premises. The SCA highlights that and is a valuable tool for buyers in an actual restaurant and not a shop.”
