Situated in the picturesque Clare Valley, one of Australia’s premium wine-producing areas, Kirrihill’s story looms large in the local area and resonates much further afield. Established in the late 1990’s Kirrihill produces premium wines from cool-climate vineyards that undeniably represent the unique characters of the Clare Valley.
Located in the picturesque Clare Valley of South Australia, Kirrihill is a progressive and innovative wine business dedicated to producing exceptional quality wines. The story began because two local Clare Valley boys, who had been ‘kicking around the dirt’ of the region since the 1960s, wanted to create something that was special a platform which allowed the region to really become the hero through showcasing the fabulous wines produced from stunning vineyards and great terroir.
In 1998 Kirrihill Wines was established, and a state of the art winery was built to complement the vineyards and ensure that Kirrihill was able to capture the essence of Clare Valley, from the vineyard to the bottle. That passion for quality continues today with the Kirrihill team dedicated to not only producing stunning, hand-crafted wines that deliver the essence of Clare but also striving to raise the bar with every vintage. This spirit and ethic has seen Kirrihill honored with more than 500 awards, both domestically and internationally, since its first vintage in 1998.

At the 2020 Sommeliers Choice Awards that happened on August 12, in San Francisco, the 2018 E.B's The Squire Clare Shiraz won Double Gold, Wine Of The Year By Varietal, and Wine Of The Year By Country and scored a thrilling 96 points.
The 2018 Squire Shiraz is a bold, inky mahogany red in color and intensely aromatic, with powerful notes of dark roasted coffee, toasted almonds, and dried fruits. The palate is plush and rich with char and spice flavors derived from extended oak barrel maturation. Abundant tannins add structure and length to the concentrated fruit core.
