The 2024 Stoneleigh Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand, produced by Delicato Family Wines, has been awarded the prestigious title of “Best Value Wine for On-Premise” at the 2025 Sommeliers Choice Awards.
The wine scored 97 points, winning a double gold medal at the 2025 Sommeliers Choice Awards.
Judges were particularly impressed by the wine’s expressive style, noting: “Bright pale straw with zesty aromas of grapefruit, lychee, and jasmine, this Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and clean with lively acidity and a light effervescence on the finish.”
Recognized for its exceptional balance of quality, versatility, and price point, Stoneleigh’s Sauvignon Blanc rose to the top during blind tastings conducted by a panel of Master Sommeliers, top wine buyers, and leading on-premise professionals. The award highlights wines that overdeliver for their cost, offering venues a reliable, crowd-pleasing option that fits seamlessly into restaurant, bar, hotel, and club wine programs.
“This wine delivers everything sommeliers and beverage directors look for in a value-driven white — vibrant aromatics, fresh acidity, and consistency in every pour,” said Sid Patel, CEO of Beverage Trade Network, organizer of the awards. “It’s a standout choice for by-the-glass lists and a strong performer across a range of food pairings.”
The 2025 Sommeliers Choice Awards evaluated nearly 1,500 wines this year, with entries from across the globe. The United States led the submission count with 557 wines, followed by France, Italy, Australia, and Spain.
The “Best Value Wine for On-Premise” award positions Stoneleigh Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc as a top pick for beverage professionals seeking affordable excellence without compromise — ideal for curated menus that emphasize both quality and profitability.
