Comexposium and Vinexpo Holding have come together to form a new joint venture entity. This venture is a step into responding to the constantly changing and developing wine and spirits industries.
• The venture will boast a wide portfolio of 10 events, namely, Vinexpo (Bordeaux, Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai and New York) along with Vinexpo Explorer events from Vinexpo Holding, Wine Paris (Vinisud/Vinovision Paris), World Wine Meetings and World Bulk Wine Exhibition (Amsterdam and Asia) from Comexposium.
• The new venture will be the world's driving coordinator of wine and spirits industry events, with yearly figures of more than 78,000 visitors from 140 countries across the globe, and 5,900 exhibitors.
• With equal stakes in the entity, the new venture is set to benefit from Vinexpo’s international reach and expertise in organizing events for the wine and spirits industry, and Comexposium’s experience in organizing events, as it’s the world’s 3rd largest events organizer.
• Moreover, the new entity is set to create new events to grow the wine and spirits industry internationally.
• The project is supported by advisors including the Vinexpo Strategic Committee and the Boards of Vinisud and VinoVision Paris.
“In a global economic environment, this commitment to working together is a significant step to serve the development of businesses in the wine and spirits sector. Comexposium and Vinexpo Holding announced that both their events, Wine Paris and Vinexpo Paris will be held at the same place in Paris. The event is set to take place from the 10th to 12th of February 2020. It is said that the event will attract many national and international buyers, which guarantees maximum impact for wine and spirits exhibitors (producers, merchants, and brands)
“By bringing our skills and expertise closer together, the professionals in the wine and spirits sector will have a key partner for their business development, able to support them year-round and throughout the world,” commented Vinexpo Holding CEO Rodolphe Lameyse. (wineindustryadvisor.com)
The organisers of the joint venture have wanted to take their partnership a step further by creating a new structure based in France. The new structure will provide a strong and broad offer, with events that focus on the 3 main market structures, namely: bulk wines, entry-level to premium wines and spirits, super-premium to luxury wines and spirits.
France is ranked the world’s second largest producer and consumer of wines, and also a leading exporter in value. The country is also recognized for the quality and diversity of its wines. With international trade growing immensely, and the rapidly changing markets, the joint venture is set to gain a major advantage from French experience and skill to give the quality of business a push in the global wine and spirits sector.
The venture will offer both partners (Vinexpo Holding and Comexposium) to benefit from, and help with international development opportunities in the wine and spirits sector. Both companies are already present across many countries and continents and are now aiming to play a more significant role in the Asian and American markets.
Comexposium Division Director Laurent Noël explained: “This alliance will strengthen the international strategy of Comexposium in wines and spirits and will create value for all stakeholders, with bellwether events and an increasing presence throughout the world.” (wineindustryadvisor.com)
