Our Terroir
Located at more than 1,600 meters above sea level, in Serra da Mantiqueira, a region with a predominantly tropical high-altitude climate that each year gains more notoriety in the world of wine, Vinícola Ferreira has its vines protected by the plastic covering method.
This allows the vegetative part and bunches to be kept dry in the rainy summers common in the region, reducing the incidence of diseases, and consequently, radically reducing the number of agrochemical applications.
The thermal amplitude with hot days and cold nights positively influences the accumulation of phenolic compounds in the grape.
