In the rocky, difficult soils of the Rogue Valley, Domain St. Laurent lies where the sprawling valley meets the foothills of the Cascade Range, elevation 1,500ft. Caught between the marine climate to the west and the fringes of the high desert to the east, the vines deal with cold nights and sweltering days, dry summers and rainy springs. True to the Rogue Valley's roots, the vines work hard to produce. Through struggle, beauty: the complexity and minerality of our Pinot Noir is unmatched in the Rogue Valley.
Our award-winning Pinot Noir is hand-picked from our estate vineyard blocks of Pommard and Dijon clones and produced in a decidedly old-world style. Destemmed whole berries are fermented using specially selected yeast strains from Burgundy and then aged for 16-18 months in 25% new, 25% once-used and 50% neutral French oak barrels.
Our Rosé de Pinot Noir is hand-picked from our estate vineyard blocks of Wädenswil and Dijon clones. Our rosé harvest can be as much as two weeks prior to our pinot harvest in order to maximize our acid profile and preserve delicate floral notes.
