The Burtech Family Vineyard story began in 2019 at Caballos Del Mar when Dominic and Julie Burtech planted 2,000 vines at their Encinitas horse farm. In 2021, the Burtechs took a leap of faith when they purchased a 13-acre vineyard in Glen Ellen and hired third-generation winemaker Drew Damskey. A true treasure to Burtechs and the winemaking community, Drew has been able to procure high quality fruit from some of the most sought after growers in Sonoma, Napa, and Mendocino. Drew produces some of the finest wines in California. Burtech Family Vineyard produces approximately 3,500 cases annually, and the Sonoma wines are currently produced at Sugarloaf Wine Co. Dominic and Julie are passionate about producing small quantities of high quality premium wines at affordable prices and providing incredible experiences.
