Tucked away between the coastal mountains of Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez Valley lies the magical Folded Hills, a 600-acre family-owned sustainable farm and working ranch. Farm and exotic animals live alongside acres of organic row crops, vineyards, and fruit orchards. Fifteen acres of organic Grenache, Syrah, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, and Clairette Blanche are farmed by hand following the biodynamic calendar. Folded Hills wines are small-batch, artisanal wines made with little intervention. This ensures that each vintage expresses that year's unique growing conditions. When you open a bottle of Folded Hills you will truly taste the limestone, the sun, the fog, and the ocean breezes that waft over these folded hills. Open seven days a week, we offer tasting flights, wine by the glass or bottle, and carry-out bottle purchases to enjoy at one of the area's fine restaurants. Stop in and relax in our beautifully designed space, see what the buzz is all about and enjoy our newest award-winning wines. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff can recommend a wine for any taste and are happy to tell you the story behind Folded Hills wines.
We believe in family. Our wine is a tribute to family, past, and present. Our vineyards and winery are yet another way to enrich and preserve this property for future generations, both yours and ours. Folded Hills is a place to gather and share, and to carry on our tradition of making friends. In honor of that, each wine we make is inspired by a piece of our family history.
We believe in quality. That's why everything on the land, both food crops, and vineyards, is farmed organically. We wouldn't do it any other way. It's also why we are so proud of our wines. After walking these hills, studying their soil and our microclimate, our team planted Grenache, Syrah, and a collection of Rhône whites. Studying the vines, Winemaker Angela Osborne guides us on the optimum time to pick and makes our wine in an honest and time-honored way. Together, we are discovering the voice of our land.
