Tasting Notes:

Oaky, rich on the nose. The palate is round yet quite crisp. Good concentration with hint of oak flavours, some other primary fruit of baked apple, golden apple coming through on the palate as well.

The commonality of all the vineyards in the Krispel winery is basalt. But that's not all: the Rosenberg has the highest proportion of lime in the middle of the slope, the Neusetzberg has the highest layer of weathered basalt soil on a calcareous subsoil with up to five meters, the proportion of clay is higher on the Hochstrandl and the layer of red clay is lower.
